Cap Karma

This blog is set up for the cap making community of ladies at the San Francisco International Airport. The caps are for chemo patients and are donated to a local hospital. The hand made caps (knitted or crocheted) are a token of our prayers and well wishes for the recipient.

Chemo Caps

Welcome ladies to our web-blog for our chemo caps project.

To re-cap, we started this project last year and made 125 caps. Most of the caps were taken to UCSF Oncology Center. Some taken to Seton.

Some basic guidelines for making the caps:
1. Caps are needed all year around for children, women and men of all ages.
2. Stay away from yarn that is itchy, remember we want our caps to be comforting to those who wear them.
3. Pick yarn that is washer/dryer friendly.
4. Pick patterns that aren't too holey or lacey.
5. Most importantly enjoy the project - this is your bit of good will going to someone - give it your best.
